Cornwall Bonsai Society was formed in 1987 by a group of enthusiasts. Originally named the Cornish Bonsai Club, its first official committee meeting was attended by three founding members, Chairman, Mrs Doreen Piggott, Treasurer, Mrs Margharita Bedford and Secretary, Mr Keith Butler in January 1988.
Worthy of note, Nina Couch attended the 1987 club meetings and became a member in 1988. She is still a member today.
